Blue Goose ~ Day 302

March 25, 2015 ~ Indianapolis, IN to Galesburg, IL

DHC and I worked until early afternoon. We had packed before going to school so left from there, stopping to look for the Smith Longspurs, unsuccessfully, unfortunately....DHC even actually walked into the slightly muddy field (wearing my green Wellies), and I kept watch on the road. There were only a few Horned Larks and Killdeer about so after 30 minutes we continued on to Galesburg, arriving at Emily's apartment just about full-on dark.

She lives above a coffee shop and there was an extremely loud band playing which resonated throughout her whole building, but when we returned from dinner (just down the street in this small college town), all was quiet. Emily kindly offered her bedroom. Her roommate was gone so there were two beds, and I slept the wonderful sleep that the right bed and bedding facilitates; DHC stayed up until 2 a.m. tying loose ends for work.
