This blog is currently about what I call my Blue Goose adventure - a year-long trip through every state (except Alaska and Hawaii) visiting National Wildlife Refuges. Not all are open to visitors, but my goal is to see at least one in every state. I am now halfway through the year and heading south.

Blue Goose ~ Day 266
February 17, 2015 ~ Texarkana, AR
I stayed in Texarkana all day, with a Starbucks break in late afternoon....working and relaxing and reading.
"well it was down in Louisianna, just about a mile from Texarcana, in them ole cotton fields back home" Remember that song. I know you're in Arkansas though. My friend at work told me that her husband still pronounces it Are -kansas. They never correct him.
Well that has to be a record - a one short sentence :)

ReplyDeleteI've been back and forth in these states and it's hard to remember exactly where I was 2 days ago. I don't know that song, but will check it out....
